Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain which is used to cover the front surface of the tooth. They are designed to change or enhance the appearance of your natural tooth. It is a permanent way to change or enhance the look of broken, chipped or undesired teeth. A minimum of two appointments is are necessary to complete this procedure.
Caring for Your Veneers
Although veneers are designed to allow you to function normally, you may want to use caution when biting into hard foods or chewing pens, nails etc. as they may chip or fracture the veneer. Also, try to avoid using your teeth to open difficult items, as this may also lead to breakage.
Keep in mind that the porcelain material can pick up stain from foods and beverages like red wine, tomato sauce, grape juice, and tea or coffee. Unlike our natural teeth, veneers cannot be whitened with tooth whitening gels.
