The Wand

The Wand is a computer-controlled dental injection which regulates the flow rate of the anaesthetic. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore more comfortable.

Many people with needle phobia describe it as their "Magic Wand".

Why? People who have had a bad experience with injections think that needles sting because the skin is pierced, but this is usually not so!

Most often, the sting is caused as the anaesthetic is administered too quickly.

Using The Wand is very enjoyable for the dentist because it is so light and easy to handle. It is even held like a pen!

How Does It Work?

To start dispensing the anaesthetic the dentist depresses a foot pedal connected to a computer tower. The computer does the rest. That way, the operator can focus all attention on holding the handpiece in the right position.

Take the fear of anaesthetic needles out of your next visit and ask for the "Magic Wand"!
